Annual Dinner, Talent Recognition and Qur’an Recitation Competition were held at Genesis Center. Around 600 people attended in this event.

Forty five children participated in the Qur’an Recitation Competition, the Winners are follows:

  • Received a Tim Horton gift card for highest mark (100%) in math
  • Received “student of the month” award for exemplifying the virtue of caring for others on the school bus and showed excellent behaviour.

Yarah Azim Grade 4
  • Participated in Calgary Mayor’s Annual Environmental Expo and presented Shake and Fold project. She received an award from Mayor Nahid Nenshi on behalf of her class for most eco-friendly project
  • Yarah has achieved Honours with distinction (average 90% marks) in this school year from Alice Jamieson Girls Academy.

 

Walija Ihsan Grade 4
  • Gold medal Canadian Math Kangaroo for Calgary Chapter, scored 106 out of 120 and placed herself within top 10% in whole Canada for the contest 2014

Canadian Math Kangaroo is a Canadian part of a al math contest, occurred every year once throughout the world. Its Calgary chapter arranges math contest in Mount royal university.

Kazi Tawfiq Rahman Grade 8
  • Hafizul Quran by 1 year and 8 months in Calgary Islamic Centre, 2014.
  • Obtained the highest marks in Math and Science in Calgary Islamic School year 2013-2014
  • “Student of the month” awards from Calgary Islamic School almost every month in the year 2012-2013
    Excellence in Quran” , “Excellence of Academic” and “Islamic Character” from Calgary Islamic School for 2013-2014
  • Received special recognition awards from EMAAN, 2014
  • He is teaching Holy Quran voluntarily to the students now in Madrasatul Quran at McKnight Musallah.

  • Achieved 3rd place in Burnet Duckworth & Palmer LLP Law firm public speaking and advocacy competition, 2014

 

Farah Azim Grade 9
  • She participated in a project, “Human Voice”, in which she interviewed the war victims to share their experiences. Farah along with her classmate presented their project at CBC radio. The project was also demonstrated at Endeavour’s Art Gallery in Calgary.
  • Farah achieved Honours with distinction (average 90%marks) in this school year from Alice Jamieson Girls Academy.

 

Dina Moinul Grade 9
  • Achieved silver medallion from Calgary youth science fair, 2013
  • Top student French 8, 2013
  • In Grade 9, final grade average 92%.
